Sector issues, problems and solution proposals raised in the Beverage Industry

Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Beverage Industry Council met via video conference with the participation of TOBB Board Member Cengiz Günay and chaired by Ozan Diren, President of the Beverage Industry Council.​

TOBB Board Member Cengiz Günay emphasized the importance of all Sector Council in the TOBB structure, stating that the problems identified by the Councils and the solution proposals are presented regularly before the relevant Ministries and institutions, providing added value to decision-making processes.

TOBB Trade Centers General Manager Noyan Ciritoğlu gave a presentation about the Chicago Trade Center and gave detailed information to Council Members, and shared views and suggestions on the negative effects of economic fluctuations on the beverage sector supply chain and a roadmap was determined.

In connection with the Draft Water Law, Councillor Aykan Gülten made assessments on issues such as charging for water use in industry and determining in which key areas water will be used by basin commissions in basin-based management.

Addressing the latest agenda item, the creation of the sector report, Ayşe Çelebi Doğan, director of the Turkey Sector Councils, emphasized the importance of the report to be written in terms of revealing the current situation and size of the sector and creating a roadmap and urged the support of all members.
