Ten representatives from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan participated in the Turkic CCI 1st Women Entrepreneurs Committee formed after the 3rd General Assembly of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry in İstanbul established to support the development of trade and investment relations, held its first meeting.
Sakina Babayeva, elected as the first Chair of the Committee, stated that their aim is to increase cooperation among women entrepreneurs in the Turkish world and expressed their desire to increase women's employment. Babeyeva, who wants women to be role models for young people in their own countries, thanked TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu for their support of women entrepreneurs.
Sakina Babayeva stated that promoting women will increase prosperity and underlined that the Turkic world has a large population and economic power.
Hatice Güner Kal, Chair of TOBB Istanbul Women Entrepreneurs Council, gave information about the Women Entrepreneurs Council and said that they want to contribute to the development of women entrepreneurs in terms of quality and quantity. Kal explained that they have undertaken several projects since 2007.
