The meeting started with the opening speeches of Senem Görel, Corporate Relations and Sustainability Manager of Coca Cola Turkey, and Sezai Hazır, President of the Board of Directors of Habitat Association.
Nurten Öztürk, President of TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council, stated that she is very happy to be with the women entrepreneurs who won grants in her speech, “We know that the development of countries is possible with the reflection of women's labor on the economy. Women's participation in the workforce is a necessity for the sustainability of economic and social life. In other words, achieving sustainable development in the economy and social life is possible with the active participation of women, who make up half of the population, in all areas of life. ‘My Sister Grant Program,’ which enables women to take an active role in regional economic development, equips them with the necessary knowledge and skills about their participation in economic life, and strengthens social and economic positions, is very important and valuable to us. In 2019, 11 entrepreneurial women from 27 provinces were awarded a business development grant of TL 275,000, 29 entrepreneurial women in 2021 with a special jury award of TL 25,000 and 1 entrepreneurial woman a total of TL 765,000 with a special jury award of TL 40,000. Following the grant program we held in 2019 and 2021 within the scope of My Sister Project, we are implementing the first of the network meetings where we bring together the grant winners and the TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council Presidents in those provinces. Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Bursa, Çanakkale, Denizli, Diyarbakır, Düzce, Elazig, Erzurum, Eskişehir, İstanbul, İzmir, Kayseri, Kırklareli, Kocaeli, Konya, Kütahya, Malatya, Manisa, Mersin, Muğla, Nevşehir, Ordu, Sinop, Şanlıurfa, Tunceli provinces; I congratulate our women entrepreneurs who participated in the project and won grants.
