22.12.2021 /

The sixteenth of the roadshow, which covers face-to-face trainings in the designated provinces after the online trainings in the Heroines of Entrepreneurship Project, which was implemented with the support of Arçelik Retail Academy in cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Women Entrepreneurs Council and Beko, was held in Düzce Teknopark.

The meeting was organized with the participation of Günseli Özen, Vice President of TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council, Serap Küçük, Tobb Düzce Women Entrepreneurs Council President, Arçelik Retail Academy and Beko executives. In the program, details were conveyed in a special panel for those who want to become dealers within the scope of Beko 100 Women Dealers project.

Günseli Özen, Vice President of the Women Entrepreneurs Council of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, started by sending her loving greetings to the participants on behalf of TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council President Nurten Öztürk. “‎Within the scope of Beko 100 Women Dealers project, we met with hundreds of women in 16 provinces and told them about people. As TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council, we have two main objectives. The reason I am telling these things is because of the meeting held by TOBB President Rifat Hisarciklıoğlu in 2018. 'Crochet and tarhana jobs don't work, ladies, entrepreneurship means industrialized labor and business. We must work to increase the number of our female entrepreneurs.’ When we were founded in 2007, we got from 5%, to 11% today. Our target is 15%. By the end of our tenure, we should be increasing the number of female entrepreneurs to 15%. Reason? For one thing, we need to empower strong women, we need to do projects to keep working women strong. If you're strong, other women can see you and emulate you and become entrepreneurs. We say, ‘We women are women's homes.’ Beko 100 Women Dealers project 247 videos were prepared for TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council within the scope of the Heroines of Entrepreneurship. This project is also very valuable with the training mission. Our mission is to contribute to bringing industrialized labor into the economy. To create added value for our women, to make those in the business world stronger, to support new female entrepreneurs who want to enter the business world. Beko 100 Women Dealers project both fulfills these tasks and offers them a comprehensive training program.”

TOBB Düzce KGK President Serap Kücük started by thanking those who contributed and participated, “Unfortunately, the female workforce is not at the desired level in our society, where half the population is women. The stereotyping of women's roles in society, the lack of training, and the inability of women to get the necessary support during the business establishment stage prevent the spread of entrepreneurial culture among women. Our goal is to increase the number of female entrepreneurs and to encourage our women to become entrepreneurs. For the increase of economic income, the development of the social economy and sustainable development, we must have women at all levels of business life regardless of gender. I would like to express my love and respect to all those who brought us together within the scope of the Heroines of Entrepreneurship project and contributed to the realization of this meaningful project.”

Beko Sales Director Burak Bilgisel said, “As Beko, we always support and stand by women's participation in the business world. We are happy to be in Düzce with the face-to-face trainings that we would love to carry out within the scope of the Heroines of Entrepreneurship Project in this way that we aim to support and empower entrepreneurial women. The primary goal of this project is to be able to fill their courage in business life with education and to help women get their rightful place in business life in a safe, competitive and equipped way. Since it is integrated with our 100 Women Dealers Project, I would like to share that we will be happy to join the entrepreneurial women of Marmara Region who want to become Beko dealers after the trainings.
