TOBB Board Member Özer Matlı said in his opening speech that they faced a serious energy crisis and that industrialists convened with the participation of Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank and Energy Minister Fatih Dönmez on January 23rd. Matlı noted that they want the food supply chain, food security and the food sector to be exempted from disruptions so that exports are not disrupted, and demand is partially met.

In the meeting, developments in the country's economy, food sector interaction and VAT problems that food companies have transferred after the VAT reduction were discussed.
