The meeting was attended by Sibel Gürer, Head of Cosmetic Inspection Department of the Turkish Medicines and Medical Device Agency, Yücel Dener, Head of Cosmetic Products Department, Fatih Topuz, Head of Medical Device Registration and Coordination Department, Halil İpek, Head of Market Supervision and Supervision Department of the Ministry of Commerce General Directorate of Market Supervision.

Council President Ahmet Pura expressed his thanks to the Council Members, who met with the intensive agenda, and stated that they are an industry that has done much good work in cooperation with the public administration. Pura also emphasized that the Council, which has been in operation since 2006, aims to convey the best messages and truths for consumers, bureaucracy and the sector and works efficiently in this direction. Council President Ahmet Pura stated that the support of public authorities is very valuable in solving priority problems that are important for the sector.

A detailed presentation on Current Developments in Renewable Energy Sources - GES Investments was made by Council Advisor Dr. Seval Yaman. In the presentation, Council Advisor Yaman informed Members regarding current developments in renewable energy sources, the current situation in Turkey, potentials, and Turkish solar energy usage models.

Commenting on the updating of the Regulation on Detergents in accordance with the European Union Legislation, Members expressed their thanks to the public authorities, stating that the compliance process was successfully managed.

Evaluating the legislative developments in the cosmetic product sector, Members evaluated the Draft Regulation on Cosmetic Products, the Product Tracking System (ÜTS) cosmetic product applications and the Regulation on the Efficacy and Safety Studies and Clinical Research of Cosmetic Products and Raw Materials.

Evaluating the legislation and practices of biocidal products, councilors discussed the announcement of license renewal in Type 1 and Type 19 products and the problems experienced for products with ongoing license applications.

Council Members evaluated the Medical Device Regulation and the Medical Device Sales, Advertising and Promotion Regulation, which is another important issue in the sector, addressed the general obligations of the manufacturers in the Medical Device Regulation, EUDAMED registration procedures, authorized representatives in the field of medical devices and classification changes and communicated their proposals to public representatives by addressing the products that can be sold outside the sales center in the Medical Device Sales, Advertising and Promotion Regulation.

During the meeting, which was evaluated about the Regulation on the Registration, Evaluation, Permit and Restriction of Chemicals, the importance of increasing the recognition of the Regulation by the main responsible persons and companies was noted by the Council Members.

Council President Ahmet Pura said that the audit problem in the sector has always been and that this will be solved by activating Market Supervision, adding that the establishment of the Market Supervision Agency was announced by the President in March 2021 and the importance of the representation of the TOBB Turkey Cosmetics and Hygiene Products Industry Council on the possible Advisory Council there.

Public representatives who spoke about the agenda items in question answered the questions of the members and expressed their satisfaction in working together at all times to solve the problems.
