Cengiz Günay, TOBB Board Member in Charge of the Assembly, emphasized that the decisions to be taken will be followed up for their implementation and thanked the Council Members for their diligent and active work. 

Council President Alp Önder Özpamukçu shared the developments since the last Council meeting and stated that steps will be taken in public-private sector cooperation to solve the problems of the sector.

Presidential Human Resources Office Unit Manager Prof.Dr.Duygu Kızıldağ provided information on the National Internship Program initiated to enable young people to benefit from the internship opportunities offered by public institutions and private sector organizations within the framework of equal opportunities and in accordance with the principles of merit, and stated that they would be pleased with the support of private sector representatives regarding the program, which became operational as of May 9, 2022.

Expert DoÄŸu CanooÄŸlu from the General Directorate of Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance of the Ministry of Commerce, who participated in the meeting, made a presentation about "Discounted Sales Advertisements and Commercial Applications with Advertisements Containing Price Information" and gave information about the issues that are important for the sector.

Members discussed the deposit management system, which is one of the most important issues for the sector in the recent period, touched on the uncertainties in retailer responsibilities regarding the latest point reached in the system and discussed the steps that can be taken before the public.

The latest situation in the e-Commerce Law studies was evaluated by the Council Members and the importance of opening the final version of the Law to the opinion of the sector was expressed by the Ministry of Commerce.

At the meeting, where the last agenda item, the Istanbul Arbitration Center (ISTAC) and the practices of the arbitration institution in the retail sector were discussed, it was pointed out that the sector needs speed in solving the problems and that this structure is used by the stakeholders by being more aware.
