TOBB Board Member Zeki Kıvanç, responsible for the Council, gave information about the work of our Union on behalf of the sector since the last Council meeting and stated that the studies to prepare the sectors for the process on the European Green Deal will continue. Board Member Zeki Kıvanç stated that they are aware of the importance of the problem with the Russian and Ukrainian markets for the sector and that they are closely following the issue.

Presenting a comprehensive evaluation of the developments in the Turkish garment sector, Council Advisor Can Fuat Gürlesel informed the Council Members about the recent export, import, employment and production figures.

At the meeting, where the latest situation in the European, US, Russian and Ukrainian markets was evaluated, the council members consulted on the developments and expectations in the retail domestic market.

Due to the difficulties experienced in supply, increases in production and operating costs; Stating that they had difficulty in production, investment, employment and financing, the Council Members evaluated the steps that could be taken before the public.
