The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkey Education Council meeting was held with the participation of TOBB Turkey Sector Councils Director Ayşe Çelebi Doğan via video conference and with the participation of high-level representatives of the private sector and non-governmental organizations at the TOBB Istanbul Service Building under the chairmanship of Council President Dr. Yusuf Ekinci.​

President Ekinci stated that there are important issues for the development of the sector in the agenda of the meeting and thanked the Members for their participation in the meeting held with wide participation, and gave a brief information about the developments since the last meeting.

TOBB Turkey Sector Councils Director Ayşe Çelebi Doğan emphasized that the issues that are important for the sector and the decisions to be taken at the meeting will be followed up for implementation.

TEDMEM Coordinator Dr. Sabiha Sunar made a presentation on “Education Can Disrupt the Memorized Equations of Politics.” In her presentation, Sunar answered the questions of the members by considering the methodology of the study, the purpose of the study, the trends in education politics in the world.

Connecting to the meeting via video conference, Presidential Human Resources Office Unit Manager Prof. Dr. Duygu Kızıldağ also provided information about the National Internship Program initiated to enable young people to benefit from the internship opportunities offered by public institutions and private sector organizations within the framework of equal opportunities and in accordance with the principles of merit, and stated that they would be pleased with the support of private sector representatives regarding the program, which became operational as of May 9, 2022.

TOBB Turkey HVAC-R Council Consultant Prof.Dr.Atilla Bıyıkoğlu, who made a presentation via video conference on the Effect of Indoor Air Quality Improvement on Students in Schools, said that the HVAC-R Council has prepared a policy guide on the subject, and that in order to protect the physical and cognitive health and performance of children in schools, to prevent the transfer of infections to the society through children, the central or independent performance of classrooms, He emphasized that ventilation with mechanical ventilation systems and units with heat recovery, which can be predicted and measured, which will not affect the thermal and acoustic comfort in the classroom, should be adopted as a national policy.

Sibel Esder, Million Women Mentor Program Leader, gave information about the ‎Million Women Mentor Program‎ in her presentation via video conference. She stated that the program is a mentoring program that aims to bring together young girls (15-25 years old) and industry leaders who are studying, graduating or working in STEM (Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields through a digital platform. Esder also welcomed that the program was launched in Turkey on March 8, 2021 as STEMConnector's global program under the leadership of the U.S.-Turkey Business Council and in cooperation with project stakeholders TOBB and TurkishWIN.

In the meeting, ideas were also exchanged by the Council Members in consultation on the priority problems of the sector and what can be done for their solution.
