TOBB Board of Directors Member Zeki Kıvanç stated in his opening speech that the Council has increased its awareness and prestige in public institutions since the day it was established. Kıvanç also mentioned the importance of discussing the sector's problems under the roof of TOBB and that all the mentioned problems are followed.

Kıvanç expressed his discomfort with the false news made through the press in the recent period and underlined that the imported materials are not garbage but the raw materials of the sector. Zeki Kıvanç also added that in the process where it is extremely important to reach the wastes that turn into value-added products, the criticism of waste is extremely worrying for the future of our country's industries and their adaptation to the world.

Council President Ali Kantur gave information about the activities carried out by the Council since its last meeting.

At the meeting, current developments in the sector were consulted by the Council Members.
