The Council Members, who received information about the Workgroups of the Turkish HVAC-R Strategy Document operating under the roof of the Council, discussed the current developments and problems in the sector. The Members of Council discussed the objectives of increasing efficiency and quality in the HVAC-R sector.

The CouncilMembers were informed about the visit of the Turkish HVAC-R Council Delegation to Deputy Minister of National Education Sadri Şensoy and Deputy Minister Petek Aşkar on 27 April 2022. A presentation was made to the Deputy Ministers of the Ministry of National Education on the activities of the Indoor Air Quality Workgroup and the Policy Document prepared.

Issues related to the European Green Deal were also on the agenda at the meeting. Information was given about the project titled “Green Growth and Sustainable Recovery Consultancy and Capacity Building Cooperation Program in Turkey” organized in cooperation with the Presidential Strategy and Budget Directorate and the World Bank for the 2053 net zero carbon emission target in order for our country to realize sustainable development. Ayşe Çelebi Doğan, Deputy Director of Sector Assemblies, gave a briefing titled “Recent Developments on the Draft Regulation of the Carbon Regulation Mechanism at the Border (SKDM) and the Revision of the EU Emissions Trading System”.

In addition, the content and objectives of the training were explained by İrem Ahi, Sector Councils Expert on the “European Green Deal-SKDM” training organized by TOBB on June 9, 2022.

Within the scope of the meeting agenda, the current situation about the activities of the Istanbul Avcılar Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Workgroup was reported on, while the latest situation in the Technical Specification was explained.

While the results of the Heating and Cooling Outdoor Air Temperature Calculation Values Workgroup meetings were discussed, a presentation was made by Atilla Bıyıkoğlu, Advisor of the Council, about the developments related to the Distinguished Lecturers Group.

Finally, while the activities planned by the Trend Seminars and Technology Festivals Workgroup were given, ideas were exchanged on the “Quality Webinar” planned to be organized by the Productivity and Quality Workgroup. It was decided to increase the membership of the newly established Digital Transformation Workgroup under the roof of the Council and to determine the new issues to be addressed.

At the end of the meeting, Members were informed about the developments on the “Thermal Insulation Loan Package in Houses,” by Council President Zeki Poyraz and the Council Member Ertuğrul Şen and which were initiated by the relevant institutions, especially the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.
