In his opening speech, TOBB Deputy Secretary General Cengiz DelibaÅŸ explained the purpose and working principles of the Sector Councils and said that the Councils are an effective mechanism working in cooperation with the public.

DelibaÅŸ also emphasized the importance of the Council by stating that the defense industry sector is one of the most important sectors of Turkey. TOBB Deputy Secretary General congratulated the whole sector for the indigenization and performance figures of the defense industry.

In the election held, Aselsan Co Inc Chairman and General Manager Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün was elected as Council President, and Alp Aviation General Coordinator and Alpteknik Aviation General Manager A. Yılmaz Güldoğan was elected unanimously as the Council Vice President. President Görgün and Vice President Güldoğan thanked the Members and stated that they would contribute to every work to be done to take the sector forward.

The meeting, where the general evaluation of the sector and future projections were consulted, ended with the evaluation of the latest developments in the country and world agenda.
