Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The number of capacity reports approved by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) in September 2022 increased by 8.8% (384 units) compared to September 2021 (4,352 units) and reached 4,736 units.

Of the 4,736 capacity report approved in September; 1,238 were in İstanbul, 318 in İzmir, 316 in Bursa, 292 in Ankara, 195 in Kocaeli, 190 in Gaziantep, 185 in Konya, 110 in Manisa, 108 in Tekirdağ and 107 in Adana.

While the total number of active capacity reports in the TOBB Industrial Database was 83,673 in September 2021, it increased by 11.5% (9,655 units) to 93,328 units in September 2022.

According to the Active Capacity Reports, the total number of employees increased by 9.2% (321,609 units) from 3,477,452 in September 2021 to 3,799,061 in September 2022.

Capacity reports are compiled by local Chambers and approved by TOBB for: utilization of bench, device, machine and motive force in processing raw materials, semi-and complete products, property, content, composition or shape in full or in part; for businesses that produce a new product in serial or standard, and for those who operate and operate underground resources and produce software with information technology.
