Waste and Recycling Industry Council evaluated the latest developments in the sector

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Waste and Recycling Industry Council meeting was held under the chairmanship of Council President Ali Kantur with the participation of TOBB Sectors and Entrepreneurship Department Head A. Saygın Baban and sector representatives.​
In his opening speech, Council President Ali Kantur gave information about the activities carried out by the Council since its last meeting.
At the meeting, the issue of establishing Recycling Specialized OIZs, which is one of the most important topics of the sector for the future, was evaluated with the participation of A. Zahid Tuncel, Investment Supports Unit Manager of the Presidential Investment Office.
At the meeting, Hakkı Karabörklü, General Director of Product Safety and Inspection of the Ministry of Trade, made a presentation on the Waste Shipment Regulation and its effects on the sector and consulted with the Council Members.
The Council meeting, where the Draft Regulation on Waste Management Responsible Companies was examined in depth, ended with the revision negotiations in the 2022/3 Product Safety and Inspection Communiqué.
