TOBB Board of Directors Member Oğuzhan Ata Sadıkoğlu addressed the participants as a speaker at the seminar and the Bank's experts gave information about the project opportunities on water, health and climate change, as well as the Bank's business and procurement processes.
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is one of the most important regional development banks in the world. Founded in 1966, the ADB currently has 68 countries, including Turkey, while 49 of these countries are located in the Asia-Pacific region. Headquartered in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, the bank also has offices in 31 countries.
Turkey became a member of the Asian Development Bank in 1991 with the status of “donor country” in order to provide new market opportunities to the Turkish private sector and to support the development of the Turkic Republics in Central Asia. Since 1997, Turkish companies operating especially in the field of construction in the projects financed by ADB in the developing countries of Asia have been able to provide materials, products, services and consultancy to the Bank's projects and bid for ADB's tenders within this scope.
