The opening speeches were made by Hüseyin Onbaşı, Chairman of the Efficiency and Quality Workgroup of the HVAC-R Council, and Zeki Poyraz, Council President. Onbaşı gave information about the activities of the Productivity and Quality Workgroup.

In his opening speech, Poyraz stated that the activities of the Council aim to be beneficial not only today but also in the future and in this context, the Turkish HVAC-R Sector Strategy Document has been prepared. Poyraz stated that development axes for the sector were designed and action plans were determined to realize it with the motto of “Be Corporate! Do R&D! Make Exports.” He noted that this Productivity and Quality Seminar is a product of the action plan and that the seminar was considered a beginning.

In the seminar, Hakan Acar, Member of the Productivity and Quality Working Group of the Air Conditioning Assembly, talked about the topic of “Quality and Lean Transformation Journey in Enterprises.” As a result of the application of the “Lean Business” model to businesses, enterprises mentioning that their efficiency, productivity and capacity are increasing He gave examples of businesses that are undergoing lean transformation.

Ankara Model Factory by Ufuk Kaya, Model Factory Director of Ankara Chamber of Industry; Bursa Model Factory by Bursa Model Factory Director Mustafa Birol Aksel; and Kayseri Model Factory General Manager Salih Yalçın introduced Kayseri Model Factory and model factory application examples were explained.
