The 94th session of the TIR Executive Board (TIRExB) of the United Nations Economic Commission for the European Union (UNECE), which consists of 9 members tasked with supporting and directing the implementation of the TIR system at national and international levels and representing the Ministry of Trade, was held on 5-6 December 2022.
At the meeting followed by the Transportation and Logistics Systems Department TIR Operations Directorate, a presentation was made by Specialist Ahmet Karakaş on the issuance and use of Electronic TIR Carnets (eTIR) on behalf of the TIR Warranty Chain. Karakaş said that TOBB continues to play a leading role in the digitalization of the truck system.
