In his opening speech, TOBB Vice President Tamer Kıran stated that he could not find a word that could describe the pain experienced after the earthquake disaster, whose epicenter was Kahramanmaraş and affected 11 provinces, and wished mercy from Allah to those who lost their lives in this disaster, extending condolences to their families and relatives, and urgent healing to the injured citizens.

It was stated by the Board Members how important logistics planning is after the disaster and how strategic the logistics sector is. In addition, the experiences of search and rescue teams and volunteers in transportation to and within the disaster area, transfer and storage of in-kind relief materials to the region and provision of endpoint distribution were conveyed at the meeting. Suggestions for the correct construction of disaster logistics in the earthquake region and for ensuring coordination between the public and NGOs were evaluated.
