Regarding the earthquake disaster that occurred on February 6th, a state of force majeure was declared by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance in the affected provinces of Adana, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye, Şanlıurfa and Elazığ and in the Gürün district of Sivas province within the scope of Article 15 of Law No. 213.
The Law on the Restructuring of Certain Receivables and the Amendment of Various Laws was published in the Official Gazette dated 12.03.2023 and numbered 32130 and entered into force. The provision of Article 10, paragraph 23 of the Law contains regulations for commercial enterprises, trade companies and branches registered in the trade registry directorates in the places where force majeure is declared.
At the meeting, which was organized via video conference in cooperation with TOBB and the Ministry of Trade regarding these regulations, the technical changes were informed and the measures to be taken to ensure unity of implementation were evaluated.
The meeting, which was chaired by Dr. Ahmet Can Balak, Deputy General Director of Internal Trade of the Ministry of Trade, was attended by representatives of the Ministry and TOBB and 50 personnel from the trade registry directorate within the 26 Chambers operating in the region where the force majeure situation was declared.
