In his opening speech, Öztürk Oran shared the effects of the disaster on the country, region and sector basis with the Council Members at this first Council meeting held after the February 6, 2023 earthquake. Oran explained the in-kind and cash earthquake aids provided by the Chambers and Commodity Exchanges under the leadership of TOBB and the projects carried out to revitalize and restore the region.

Oran noted that the most important factor in the normalization of the region is housing, and gave the good news that the “Business World Permanent Housing Mobilization” initiated by TOBB has set out to solve this problem. Stating that the details of the project are available on the official website of TOBB, Oran stated that the donations are recorded instantly on the website.

Oran said, “This is the day of unity and solidarity, come and support this project, a brick, a street or a house. As long as you do not withhold your support,” Oran said and requested support for the project.

In her opening speech, Council President Banu Küçükel shared the activities of the past three months with the Council Members.

At the meeting, the needs of the Council Members who suffered damages in the earthquake zone were evaluated and it was decided to take another initiative before the relevant institutions.
