We continued to work and produce. We carried industrial production and exports to the highest levels in our history. Thanks to the support of our Ministry of Industry and Technology and the efforts of our industrialists, we have no province without an OIZ. The number of factories producing in our OIZs has reached over 67,000. Employment in OIZs has reached 2.5 million; exports 65 billion dollars and the number of exporting companies has reached 10,000. Model factories, R&D and design centers were established in OIZs. Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools were opened to train the qualified human resources needed by our industry. Steps were taken to ensure the adaptation of our industry to changing conditions, such as the Green OIZ concept, and the law was passed.”

Murzioğlu thanked OSBÜK President Memiş Kütükçü and his management and said, “I sincerely congratulate our President Memiş Kütükçü, who has worked day and night for our industry and OIZs as the President of OSBÜK and has carried out many activities that I can only summarize here. I am also proud of our OIZs and their managements, which have become the dynamo of the cities where they are located, increase the investment attractiveness of our country and are accepted as exemplary models in the world. I would like to thank our Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, who is also among us today, for his efforts in the development of our OIZs.”

Murzioğlu stated that the election period is behind us, it is now time to focus on the economy and reforms, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the TOBB General Assembly 3 days ago and that they requested him to convene the Economy Council.

Noting that they will continue to work together and effectively in TOBB-OSBÜK cooperation, Murzioğlu continued as follows: “Already in our elections held this week, 9 of the 21 members of the new TOBB Board of Directors have duties in OIZs. I find this very valuable in terms of showing the closeness, unity of mind and heart between us. In the coming period, we will continue to increase the cooperation of our Chambers and Commodity Exchanges with OIZs in provinces and districts. Together with OSBÜK, we will ensure that our OIZs become role models for the Turkish industry in the green and digital transformation process. From now on, we will fight together so that our industrialists produce more and earn more.”
