The forum, which was held on 8-9 June 2023 under the chairmanship of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym Chömert Tokayev, was attended by the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Temim bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, Chairman of the Presidential Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zeljka Cvijanovic, Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanchbek Ömüraliyev, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of UNESCO, Kristalina Georgieva, President of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), former Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome, former European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, as well as more than a thousand guests from many countries and international organizations attended.
Underlining that the mission of the Forum is to present the situation in the world, to identify the main challenges and crises faced globally, President Tokayev said that in order to survive, the global system must work for everyone, and true peace and prosperity must be for the majority, not the minority.
Speaking at the session on Regional and Global Cooperation organized by the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan (ATAMEKEN) on the second day of the forum, Öztürk said that during the Covid19 pandemic, the most investments in Kazakhstan were made by Turkish companies and more than 4,000 Turkish companies have been established in Kazakhstan so far.
