Following the opening speeches, Council Vice President Özlem Güçlüer made an assessment of the business results of the automotive industry for January-June 2023. Güçlüer stated that the total market increased by 55 percent in the January-June 2023 period compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 581,109 units, while the automobile market increased by 55 percent in this period and reached 429,870 units.

At the meeting, agenda items such as the financial regulations recently introduced and presented as a draft, the news reflected in the press regarding second-hand imports, the Draft Regulation on the Management of Waste Batteries and Accumulators, the need for recycled plastics in the automotive industry, the Revised Regional Convention and its impact on our industry, the need for origin revision of the Türkiye-UK FTA were shared by the Council Members with public representatives.
