Ali Kopuz met with ASEAN delegation in Ä°stanbul

Within the scope of the Project for the Establishment of a Business Dialogue Platform between Türkiye and the Member Countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) under the leadership of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and in cooperation with Adana Chamber of Industry, Aydın Chamber of Commerce, Eskişehir Chamber of Industry and Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a visit was made to Türkiye with the participation of relevant institutions/organizations and private sector representatives from 10 ASEAN member countries.​

Ali Kopuz, Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), Celalettin Kesikbaş, President of Eskişehir Chamber of Industry, Erkut Çelebi, President of Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Semih Çakır, Vice Chairman of the Assembly of Aydın Chamber of Commerce, Bora Kocaman, Secretary General of Adana Chamber of Industry, representatives of the ASEAN Secretariat and delegates from ASEAN member countries attended the meeting held in İstanbul, the first stop of the visit.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Ali Kopuz expressed the happiness of the business world for the establishment of a Sectoral Dialogue Partnership between Türkiye and ASEAN and pointed out that these positive steps in the political field should be supported by steps in the economic and commercial field.

Following the opening speeches, the Project was introduced and a presentation on Investment Opportunities in Türkiye was made by the Presidential Investment Office.

A Goodwill Agreement was signed between the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye and the Brunei National Chamber of Commerce at the meeting held at the TOBB İstanbul Service Building. Goodwill agreements were also signed between Eskişehir Chamber of Industry, Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Aydın Chamber of Commerce and Adana Chamber of Industry and the Federation of Malaysian Industrialists, Cambodian Young Entrepreneurs Association and the Philippines Exporters Confederation.

The visit to Türkiye, which took place within the scope of the ASEAN Project, continued within the scope of the programs held in the provinces where the 4 Chambers carrying out the project are located.
