Vocational Education Forum held in Antalya

Vocational Education Forum was held in Antalya on 21-22 November 2023 within the scope of the Operation on Improving the Quality of Vocational and Technical Education through the Establishment of Sectoral Centers of Excellence, financed by the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye, the operation beneficiary is the Ministry of National Education, General Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education and the contracting authority is the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, Department of European Union Financial Assistance.​
Consisting of 2 plenary sessions and 9 panels, Hasan Çağlayan Dündar, Advisor to TOBB President and Head of Real Sector R&D and Implementation Department, and public sector, business world, civil society, academic community and other stakeholders participated as speakers.
The Forum discussed what has been achieved so far in the field of VET, what challenges have been encountered and what programs and partnerships have been developed to respond to Türkiye's unique circumstances, and evaluated the steps to be taken in the coming period, as well as the digital world, new digital skills and competencies needed, digital skills trends and tools for teachers, educators and students, and how to further develop and strengthen the relationship between the private sector and VET actors.
