Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Speaking at the opening of the webinar, Ender Yorgancılar, Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), mentioned the need for financing in the green transformation process and stated that the project, which has a budget of 450 million dollars, will breathe life into industrial organizations.

Yorgancılar stated that the green transformation process affects many areas such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions, reducing water footprint, use of renewable energy resources, waste management, transition to circular economy. Yorgancılar also emphasized that it is of great importance for the project to support industrial facilities in different aspects with project, mentoring and technical support contents as well as providing direct loans.

Mr. Yorgancılar also mentioned the COP28 outputs and concluded his speech by explaining the activities of TOBB on green transformation.

Other opening speeches of the webinar were delivered by Dr. Ali Murat Sürekli, Deputy Director General of Industry at the Ministry of Industry and Technology, Firdevs Kılıç, Project Coordinator at KOSGEB and Mehmet Aslan, Head of TÜBİTAK TEYDEP.

Following the opening speeches, informative presentations were made by experts from the Ministry of Industry and Technology, KOSGEB and TÜBİTAK.

The webinar ended after the participants' questions were answered.
