Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

At the meeting, which was attended by the representatives of the leading companies and associations of the sector as well as the representatives of the Public Institutions that are closely related to the sector, the election of the Assembly Presidency Council was held and evaluations were made on sectoral problems and solutions.

In the meeting where Recep Düzgit, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association of Steamship Owners and Agents, was unanimously elected as the President of the Türkiye Maritime Assembly, Ali Avcı, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ceyport Port, was unanimously elected as the Vice President of the Assembly.

In his opening speech, Tamer Kıran, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of TOBB, gave information about the Türkiye Sector Assemblies and the members of the Türkiye Maritime Assembly. Reminding that the Assemblies are a platform where evaluations are made regarding the sectors, solution proposals are developed for the problems, and the work carried out is transferred to the highest level in the public, Kıran left the floor to the Assembly Presidency Council after the election of the Presidency Council.

Recep Düzgit, who was elected as the President of the Assembly, thanked the members of the Assembly and expressed his wish that this unity would be the beginning of important work.

The meeting focused on the issues currently followed by the Assembly and the topics proposed to be included in the agenda in the new period.
