The Council convened with the agenda of “Developments Related to the Issues on the Agenda of the Foundry Sector” and “Foundry Sector Current Evaluation Presentation”.

Council President Kocaoğlu shared the sectoral problems and solution proposals presented at the Sectoral Economy Council hosted by TOBB on February 29, 2024 with the participation of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and his evaluations regarding the Council process.

He gave information about Türkiye's Sectoral Low Carbon Roadmap program, which was completed in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and was introduced at the Informatics Valley on March 18, 2024.

Kocaoğlu emphasized that the management of all inputs used in production in foundries within the framework of circular economy principles is of critical importance in terms of minimizing the environmental impact of enterprises and making an environmentally sensitive production, and that for a sustainable future, all foundries should aim to reduce their environmental impact while strengthening the competitiveness of the sector by increasing energy efficiency.

In 2024, he gave information about the fairs and congresses that are important for the sector.

After the presentation on “Foundry Sector Evaluation” prepared by the President of the Council,

World Foundry Sector, European Foundry Sector and Türkiye Foundry Sector comparisons, the situation in the sector was discussed by the Council Members.

After the evaluation and suggestions of the Council Members regarding the agenda, the meeting was adjourned.
