Pharmaceutical Industry Sector Consultation Meeting

The Pharmaceutical Industry Sector Consultation Meeting, organized in cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Pharmaceutical Industry Council and the Turkish Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (TİTCK), was held with the participation of TİTCK President Dr. Asım Hocaoğlu, TİTCK Vice Presidents and Department Heads, TOBB Board Member Seyit Ardıç, TOBB Deputy Secretary General Cengiz Delibaş and sector representatives.​

TOBB Board Member Seyit Ardıç emphasized the importance of these meetings for the development of the sector and thanked the Turkish Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency for bringing together the public benefit with the power of the private sector and for always being with us.

Asım Hocaoğlu, President of TİTCK, stated that these consultation meetings with all stakeholders of a very large ecosystem, of which they are the regulator and supervisor in terms of regulation, are valuable in terms of the sustainability of the service and the continuation of efficiency in the procurement process. Mr. Hocaoğlu concluded his speech by mentioning the works on the issues on the agenda of the sector.

During the 3-day event, in addition to an overview of the pharmaceutical sector, presentations were made on topics such as audit processes, licensing, pharmaceutical supply management, pharmaceutical pricing, clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, import applications, use of health declarations, traditional herbal products and the functioning of the National Control Laboratory.

At the meeting, which also included online participation, sector representatives presented their views and expectations on the issues on the agenda of the sector directly to the executive authority and evaluations were made.

At the consultation meeting where questions were also answered, the views and expectations of the sector were discussed.
