In his opening speech, TOBB Board Member Zeki Kıvanç emphasized that access to waste is becoming more important every day and that waste is a raw material. Kıvanç also emphasized the importance of the Waste Shipment Regulation implemented in the European Union in terms of the future planning of the sector and emphasized the contribution to the work of the relevant institutions in this regard.

In his opening speech, TOBB Vice President Ender Yorgancılar emphasized the importance of the recycling sector and underlined the importance of the Council at this junction.

In his opening speech, Council President Ali Kantur informed that the current issues of the sector were followed up, transferred to the relevant institutions and meetings were held with all relevant Ministries regarding the issues on the agenda.

In the first agenda item of the meeting, with the participation of Feyza Eldeniz, Presidential Strategy and Budget Directorate, Directorate General for Sectors and Public Investments, Head of Environment and Sustainable Development Department, and Expert Osman Altıntaş, the cooperation that can be made between institutions in the sector was discussed.

The meeting ended with a discussion of current developments and problems in the sector.
