Speaking before the election of the presidential council, Saim Özakalın emphasized that the assemblies are the platform that brings together public, private sector and sectoral non-governmental organizations on a legal basis. Wishing the new term of the assembly to be auspicious, Özakalın thanked all members for their participation. Saim Özakalın also conveyed his thanks to the presidency council, which carried out important work on behalf of the Assembly in the previous period, for its work for the sectoral assembly.

Ersa Furniture Chairman Ercan Ata, who was elected as the President of the Assembly, made a general assessment of the sector at the meeting; the sector's access to qualified personnel and unfair competition due to under the stairs production were evaluated. In addition, evaluations were made regarding the changes envisaged to be made in tax laws.
