Meeting on battery legislation and management system held at TOBB

The Opening Meeting of the Project on Harmonization with the EU's New Battery Legislation and Establishing a Management System for Electric Vehicle Batteries was held at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Ankara Union Center.​
The project in question, determined in line with the policy priorities of the European Union in the Green Deal Action Plan, is being implemented in order to comply with the legislation on batteries, which has been identified as one of the priority product groups in the EU Circular Economy Package within the scope of transition to a green and circular economy.
The meeting started with the opening speeches of A. Saygın Baban, Head of the Department of Sectors and Entrepreneurship at TOBB and Gürsel Erul, Deputy Director General of Environmental Management at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.
Following the opening speeches, informative presentations were made by Sabriye Ayhan, Head of Circular Economy and Waste Management Department of the General Directorate of Environmental Management of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and the project team.
The meeting ended with a question and answer session and the views of the participants.
