The second Medical Device Sector Consultation Meeting

The Medical Device Sector Consultation Meeting, organized in cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Medical Council and the Turkish Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (TİTCK), was held under the chairmanship of Levent Mete Özgürbüz, Sector Council President, with the participation of Cengiz Delibaş, Deputy Secretary General of TOBB, Dr. Asım Hocaoğlu, President of TİTCK, Dr. Mehmet Hakan Fırat, Deputy Presidents of TİTCK and heads of relevant departments, with the intense interest of sector representatives.
Dr. Asım Hocaoğlu, President of TİTCK, stated that these consultation meetings with all stakeholders of a very large ecosystem, of which they are the regulator and supervisor in terms of regulation, are valuable in terms of the sustainability of the service and the continuation of efficiency in the procurement process. Mr. Hocaoğlu talked about the work on the issues on the agenda of the sector and answered the questions of the participants.
At the meeting, which started with trainings, testing, control and calibration activities in the usage processes of medical devices, technical service activities and warranty processes, current regulations on medical device sales, advertising and promotion activities, innovations and transitional provisions introduced by IVDR were discussed and consultations were held with sector representatives.
After the trainings, the meeting was concluded with a general evaluation of the medical device sector.
