Waste and Recycling Industry Council held the last meeting of 2024

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Waste and Recycling Industry Council meeting was held at Ankara Union Center with the participation of TOBB Board Members Zeki Kıvanç and İbrahim Burkay.​

Speaking at the opening, TOBB Board Member İbrahim Burkay thanked all Council Members for the successful activities of the Council. Burkay emphasized that the awareness of the Council before public institutions is increasing day by day.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, TOBB Board Member Zeki Kıvanç gave information about the activities carried out since the last Council meeting and stated that TOBB will always continue to support the solution of the problems faced by the sector.

In the first agenda item of the meeting, Seval İskender, European Union Expert of TOBB Brussels Representative Office, informed about the Entrepreneurship Competencies for a Green and Digital Transition Project carried out by TOBB.

In the second agenda item, a consultation titled “What Can Be Done About Improving Working Conditions and Standards in the Recycling Sector” was held with the participation of Fatma Temiz, Labor Expert at the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, General Directorate of Labor.

In the next agenda item, Council Members made evaluations on what could be done about the control of end-of-life vehicles and SCT reduction.

The meeting, where sector problems were evaluated and a policy document was created, ended with the Council Members' evaluations for 2025.
