Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The signing ceremony between the mediation center operating within the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and PttAVM was held at TOBB Twin Towers.

Cemil Çiçek, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TOBBUYUM, said in his speech here that the agreement aims for a fair and peaceful approach to dispute resolution.

Çiçek said, “Alternative procedures have been developed to resolve disputes fairly in a short time. One of these is the resolution of disputes through mediation. Türkiye is not left out of these developments.”

Onur Yüksel, General Manager of TOBBUYUM, stated that with the establishment and development of the negotiation system within the scope of cooperation, rapid resolution will be provided in the disputes of PttAVM's suppliers.

PttAVM General Manager Hakan Çevikoğlu said that as one of Türkiye's important e-commerce platforms, they bring together approximately 60,000 sellers, 55 million product types and more than 16 million customers.

Çevikoğlu, who gave information about the system they put into practice as a result of their agreement with TOBBUYUM, said:

“Disputes of PttAVM suppliers, such as invoice disputes, cargo delivery and transportation problems, will be resolved through professional negotiators. Fast, fair and permanent solutions will be provided between the parties. Time and cost losses of our business partners will be minimized. In this process, TOBBUYUM's experienced negotiators will not only ensure the dialog between the parties through technical negotiation methods, but will also strengthen the sustainability of trade and the environment of trust. I believe that this step is a critical opportunity especially for our SMEs.”

Çevikoğlu emphasized that the system has a simple and user-friendly structure and said:

“Our suppliers will be able to apply by clicking the TOBBUYUM button on the PttAVM Supplier Panel. The whole process can be followed through TOBBUYUM's special software. Applications will be completely free of charge. The process will be supported by PttAVM. Together with TOBBUYUM, we are not only taking a step in dispute resolution, but also creating an important value to establish trust in the trade ecosystem. This process will make significant contributions to both our country's e-commerce vision and the sustainable growth of our business partners.”
