E-Commerce Council convened

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) E-Commerce Council meeting was held in İstanbul under the chairmanship of Ozan Acar, President of the Council and Senem Aslan Yavaş, Vice President of the Council, TOBB Board Member responsible for the Council, Selçuk Öztürk, via video conference; Hasan Önal, Head of E-Export and New Generation Technologies Department of the Ministry of Commerce, with the physical participation of the Council Members.
After the opening speeches, Council Advisor Adnan Akgün provided information about the annual activities of the Council. Ozan Acar, President of the Council, stated that it would be beneficial to establish a Coordination Board where all relevant public authorities will be present regarding the regulation of the e-commerce sector and the need for high-level coordination.
Hasan Önal, Head of the Department of E-Export and New Generation Technologies of the Ministry of Trade, made a presentation on E-export Supports and e-Easy Export Platform.
On the other hand, regulations on withholding tax on marketplaces, fast delivery service and verification of sellers in marketplaces within the scope of MASAK were discussed at the meeting. In addition, the E-Commerce Regulation and data transportation, Internal Communication System and verification obligations were discussed at the meeting.
