Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Opening speeches were made by TRNC President Ersin Tatar, TRNC Minister of Economy and Energy Olgun Amcaoğlu, KTTO Chairman Turgay Deniz, Türkiye Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Türkiye Creative Industries Council President Ali Ata Kavame and Türkiye Creative Industries Council Vice President Berat Kuzu.

In his speech, TRNC President Ersin Tatar called TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu “a friend of the Cypriot nation” and stated that sharing Türkiye's achievements in the creative industries sector with the TRNC is a great wealth for the TRNC.

In his opening speeches, Minister of Economy and Energy Olgun Amcaoğlu emphasized that the development of creative industries will contribute to the economy. In his opening remarks, KTTO Chairman Turgay Deniz stated that the Chamber of Commerce will support the relevant initiatives.

Türkiye Creative Industries Council President Ali Ata Kavame underlined the importance of creative industries for the country's reputation and global recognition, while Türkiye Creative Industries Council Vice President Berat Kuzu reminded that TOBB Türkiye Creative Industries Council is an organization that brings together 16 creative industries and that they came to TRNC to create common opportunities.

In the first session held after the opening speeches, Business Architect Sezin Sivri moderated by Tayfun Soydemir, Vice President of Creative Industries Commission of Ankara Chamber of Commerce; Varol Yaşaroğlu, Member of TOBB Türkiye Creative Industries Council; İsa Doğmuş, Member of TOBB Türkiye Creative Industries Council and Chairman of Let's Talk Orange Commission; and Ömer Evre, Lecturer at Eastern Mediterranean University, shared their experiences in the sector and the needs of the sector.

In the second session, which started with the opening speeches of Prof. Dr. Fevzi Kasap, sectoral dynamics were discussed with the speeches of TOBB Türkiye Creative Industries Council Consultant Erman Demir, Turkish Publishers Association Secretary General Nazlı Berivan Ak, TOBB Türkiye Creative Industries Council Member Gamze Şernaz and Arkın Creative Arts and Design University Industrial Design Department Faculty Member Assist. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burçin Saltık, moderated by Asst. Prof. Fuat Boğaç Evren. The panel, where the contributions of creative industries to economic development were discussed, was completed with valuable opinions and consultation that will contribute to sectoral development.

The delegation from Türkiye paid a courtesy visit to TRNC Prime Minister Ünal Üstel and Turkish Ambassador to Nicosia Yasin Ekrem Serim before the event.
