Joint Meeting of the Türkiye Apparel and Ready-to-Wear Industry Council and Textile Industry Council

The Joint Meeting of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Apparel and Ready-to-Wear Industry Council and Textile Industry Council was held in İstanbul with the participation of TOBB Board Members Zeki Kıvanç and İbrahim Burkay and under the chairmanship of Adil Konukoğlu, Chairman of the Textile Industry Council and Şeref Fayat, Chairman of the Apparel and Ready-to-Wear Industry Council.
Following the opening speeches, the meeting continued with the presentation of the “Digital Transformation Center Activities” of the İstanbul Ready-to-Wear and Apparel Exporters’ Association (IHKIB).
Afterwards, Didem Saygı Yavuz, Head of the Legislation and Environment Department of the Ministry of Trade, conveyed the latest developments regarding Waste Import Practices and Legislation to the participants.
After the completion of the presentations, the sector expectations for 2025 were expressed by the members of the Council together with the sector evaluation for 2024.
