Speaking at the opening, TOBB Board Member Ä°brahim Burkay reminded the success of the Council in 2024 and thanked all Council Members. Stating that the Deposit Management System will be implemented in 2025, Burkay emphasized the importance of the Council in this system.

In the first agenda item of the meeting, Zübeyir Dedeoğlu, Vice President of the Turkish Environment Agency and Ayşe Banu Özgökçen, Director of GÜS, Çim and sector representatives discussed future cooperation between the recycling sector and the Turkish Environment Agency.

In the second agenda item, consultations were held in December 2024 with the participation of sector representatives about the policy document in which sector problems were examined.

In the next agenda item, council members made evaluations on the latest developments in the import of end-of-live tires.

The first meeting of 2025 was completed with the evaluation of the developments since the previous meeting
