E-Commerce Council meeting in Ankara

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) E-Commerce Council discussed the current developments of the e-commerce sector comprehensively at the meeting held in Ankara on May 6, 2025.​

TOBB Türkiye E-Commerce Council Chairman Ozan Acar, TOBB Board Member İbrahim Burkay and Ministry of Commerce E-Commerce Department Head Çağatay Yasin Karaboğa started with the opening speeches of TOBB Türkiye E-Commerce Council Vice President Senem Yavaş and TOBB Türkiye E-Commerce Council Advisor Adnan Akgün, Ussal Şahbaz and Hasan Selim Özertem shared the evaluations regarding the effects of developments in the global economy and technological transformation on the sector.

The meeting also provided information on current legislation on MASAK regulations, fast delivery practices, product safety and withholding tax. It was decided that the sector's views on the online sale of dietary supplements will be taken and a separate meeting will be held on the subject.

The program ended with the closing after mutual evaluations.
