Within the scope of the first agenda of the Council meeting, the election of the Presidency Council of TOBB Türkiye Cosmetics and Cleaning Products Industry Council was held. Ahmet Pura, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cosmetics and Cleaning Products Industrialists' Association, was unanimously re-elected as the Chairman of the Council, while Nilgün Dayıoğlugil, Technical Regulation Director of Avon Kozmetik Ürünleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., was unanimously elected as the Vice Chairman of the Council.

In his speech, Ahmet Pura thanked the Council Members for their past work and support. Pura stated that the work carried out by the Council will continue in order for the sector to grow and get more share from global trade, and that the unity of the Council has always strengthened the sector.

At the meeting, Mehmet Özbolat and Damla Yeseren Afaral, Department Heads of the General Directorate of Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance of the Ministry of Trade, made an informative presentation on the Communiqué Amending the Communiqué on Conformity Inspection of Certain Consumer Products.

Legislative developments regarding the cosmetics sector, biocidal products, medical devices and KKDÄ°K were discussed at the meeting, where legislation and implementation problems in the fight against counterfeit products were also discussed.

The meeting was concluded by giving information about the seminar to be organized in October in cooperation with TOBB and KTSD.
