Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The visit was chaired by Salih Kaygusuz, Acting Director General of Vocational and Technical Education, with the participation of Ercan Alpay, Head of the Department for the Development of Educational Environments and Learning Processes, Teacher Şengül Yıldız, officials from the Ministry of National Education, Şeref Kazcıoğlu, Head of Vocational Education at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), Mehmet Sığırcı, Expert from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, officials from the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Syrian Education Counselor.

- Sister schools in vocational and technical education in Syria identified

Within the scope of the visit, a meeting was held with Syrian Deputy Minister of Education Youssef Annan. In the meeting held after this meeting, the planned activities in the field of vocational education were discussed with Syrian Director General of Vocational Education Shawsen Harestani and Director General of International Cooperation and Planning Hasan Hüseyin. During the meeting, sister schools were identified to strengthen the relations between the two countries and share experiences.

After the meeting, the First Industrial Vocational High School in Damascus was examined. The delegation then went to Aleppo and visited the 3^rd Industrial High School, Furqan Girls’ High School, Al Nairab Industrial High School and Al Bab Vocational and Technical High School accompanied by Aleppo Deputy Director of Education Ala Elbushi.
