TOBB Participates in Hub of Warehouse - New Generation Warehouse Systems and Internal Logistics Fair

Hub of Warehouse, held at the Istanbul Fair Center - New Generation Warehouse Systems and Internal Logistics Fair, held at the Istanbul Fair Center, TOBB Transportation and Logistics Systems Department TIR Operations Directorate Specialist Burak Ercan Erdoğan participated as a panelist in the “Value-Added Logistics Strategies” panel organized with the support of the International Transportation and Logistics Service Providers Association (UTİKAD).
Moderated by UTİKAD Board Member Ahmet Arkın Obdan, the other panelists were Turgut Erkeskin, President of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), and Oruç Kaya, founder of the DepOrtak platform.
The panel aimed to evaluate strategies that could generate added value for Türkiye; intermodal/multimodal integration, qualities sought in logistics centers/villages/base facilities, issues to be considered in terms of foreign trade, innovations that can be made in the scope of transit trade, digitalization in the supply chain, artificial intelligence-supported automation, and the development of warehouse/storage facilities were discussed.
Following the panel discussions, the question-and-answer session involved an exchange of ideas with the audience from both the logistics and warehousing sectors on what could be done within the framework of value-added logistics strategies.
