The meeting, attended by Deputy Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Durmuş Ünüvar and Director General of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure Murat Baştor, addressed current developments and priority agenda items in the transportation and logistics sector. Expectations regarding the U-ETDS system and transit transportation, efforts to consolidate driver licenses under a single identity, heavy haulage regulations and registration procedures for vehicles providing heavy haulage, integration of the e-invoice system in express cargo operations, the need for digitalization in the cargo sector, and transportation authorization certificates were evaluated in detail by industry representatives.
In addition, issues such as long payment terms in the logistics sector, regulations on the transportation of special cargo, and the expansion of tax exemptions for the sector were also discussed.
At the end of the meeting, it was stated that a more comprehensive meeting would be held in December with the participation of all stakeholders in the sector. Deputy Minister Ünüvar emphasized that the public sector would continue to fulfill its responsibilities for the development of the sector.
