Speaking at the opening of the Medical Council meeting, which was held with strong participation and brought together important stakeholders in the health sector, Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Åžuayip Birinci emphasized digitalization in the health sector, the promotion of domestic production, and the strengthening of a sustainable health ecosystem, drawing attention to the importance of public-private sector cooperation.
During the meeting, issues and proposed solutions regarding IVDR and MDR transition obligations, public procurement processes, the Health Implementation Circular, and the market share and competitive conditions of domestic manufacturers were discussed. Participants shared their views and assessments on the current situation in the medical sector, regulatory processes, and areas of sectoral development. The meeting, which attracted significant interest from civil society organizations and private sector representatives, created a productive platform for strengthening cooperation among industry stakeholders.
The meeting concluded with an assessment of possible collaborations to support domestic production and technological development. As a result of discussions with the Deputy Minister, it was decided that such meetings would be held at more regular intervals.
