A consultation meeting was held regarding the “Smart SME” program

A consultation meeting was held between the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and the Ministry of Trade to discuss cooperation and sustainability issues related to the “Smart SME” program and digital transformation processes.​

Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, the meeting was attended by Deputy Director General Hüseyin Altındal, Director of Chambers and Exchanges Ahmet Akçınar, Expert Ebru Bozdemir, Branch Manager Kemal Tüfekdemir, Trade Expert Deniz Billur, and Trade Expert Furkan Albayrak from the Ministry of Trade. Representing TOBB were Mustafa Kemal Günay, Head of the Real Sector R&D and Application Department; Cahit Ceren, SME Policies Manager; and Aslı Parmak, Legal Expert. Akıllı KOBİ was represented by Ümit Öncel, Member of the Executive Board of Akıllı KOBİ, and Melis Karagöz, Project Coordinator of Akıllı KOBİ.

During the meeting, the emergence process of the Smart SME program, the results achieved, and the work to be done in the coming period were evaluated. The activities to be carried out in the next period regarding the Smart SME platform and the opportunities for cooperation were evaluated at the meeting.

Representatives from the Ministry of Trade stated that they support the sustainability of the program, emphasizing that training local experts is critical for the model's longevity.

Finally, a common understanding was reached that the Smart SME platform should be developed with a focus on sectoral transformation in line with field needs.
