First Meeting of the Free Allocation and Benchmark Values Determination Workgroup

The first meeting of the “Free Allocation and Benchmark Values Determination Workgroup,” established to determine benchmark values and allocation rates for Emission Trading System sectors in preparation for decisions to be taken at the Carbon Market Advisory Board meeting established by the Climate Law No. 7552 and chaired by TOBB, was held.
The first agenda item of the meeting was an informational presentation on the work carried out by the Climate Change Presidency and the current situation.
In the second part of the meeting, allocation methods were discussed. Detailed consultations on basic concepts, sectoral activity factor principles, and the determination of benchmark values were held with sector representatives.
