25.11.2025 /

The Türkiye Durable Goods Council (DTM) convened via video conference, chaired by Council President Fatih Kemal Ebiçlioğlu, to discuss current developments affecting the sector.

At the meeting, a presentation was given on developments regarding the Inward Processing Regime Legislation and Applications. The Resource Utilization Support Fund (KKDF), an important factor directly affecting costs and competition in the import of production inputs, was discussed.

The meeting also included an update on the KKDIK (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals) Procedures and Principles Workshop, sharing key findings from the sector's perspective.

The meeting, which assessed the toxicological analysis laboratory infrastructure capacity in Türkiye and overseas testing costs, also brought up the UK Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (PSTI) legislation, which came into force in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland as of April 29, 2024, and covers all products that can connect to the internet/network.

It was reported that the DDGG Cyber Security Group, established under the TOBB Digital Transformation Task Force (DDGG), is actively following the issue and that it is considered important to ensure cooperation in the ecosystem for both manufacturers and cyber security service providers and to prepare the regulatory infrastructure in our country.
