Vegetable Waste Oil Consultation Meeting at TOBB

The Vegetable Waste Oil Consultation Meeting, which addressed current practices and sectoral needs related to vegetable waste oils, was held at TOBB Twin Towers with the participation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry's Food and Control General Directorate and sector representatives.​

The meeting began with opening remarks by Mehmet Menderis, Head of the Food and Feed Control Department at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and Ömer Benli, Deputy Chairman of the TOBB Türkiye Waste and Recycling Industry Council.

In the first part of the meeting, topics requested for consultation based on feedback from the sector were evaluated, while Ministry representatives provided information on current practices. Industry representatives shared their views on improving existing processes.

Later in the agenda, issues related to vegetable waste oil management that concern public health were discussed, along with assessments of needs and practices. 

The meeting concluded after participants’ views and suggestions were heard.
