Waste and Recycling Sector consultation meeting

A consultation meeting was held under the auspices of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) as part of a technical support mission organized by the World Bank within the scope of its work on the circular economy and waste management in Türkiye.​
The meeting was attended by Denis Jordy, Frank Van Woerden, Klaus Sattler, and Onur Akpulat from the World Bank delegation, along with Ali Kantur, Chairman of the TOBB Türkiye Waste and Recycling Industry Council, and members of the Council.
The meeting addressed ongoing efforts to develop the circular economy and improve waste management practices in Türkiye. Additionally, discussions focused on the needs of the private sector, financing requirements, and the current state of the sector, while exchanging views on solid waste management, emission reduction, and the widespread adoption of circular economy practices.
